Start coughing during the previews, then turn it into a "fit" that requires you to leave the theater to get some water so you don't disturb everyone else. Go find another movie to watch so it's not such a drag. I did this when my wife wanted to see "Mailficient" and caught a good 20 minutes of The Force Awakens before going back in to resume the punishment.

Yeah, $90 mil in U.S. alone was way more than I anticipated. I was definitely wrong in the interest in this one. I just assumed that his tainted past, the sanitized version the movie was portraying, and all the years since his real popularity boom would have affected this more.

We saw it this morning. A group of five and we all enjoyed it. Ages in our group were 24, 35, 46, 68, 69.

They basically put all the bad in Michael's life on his father's shoulders. The movie ends with the Bad album of 1987.

Considering the movie ends in 1987, I thought this was really good. Entertaining? Absolutely

The early scene where he cant stop moving as he's recording a Jackson 5 song in the studio gave me chills. Loved that song as a child

We really enjoyed it! It was not perfect by any means but it was entertaining and obviously the music was great. Made me go back and listen to the Thriller album when I got home.

The original third act of this movie was all about vilifying one of the main/first sexual abuse accusers - namely his parents - as money-hungry liars. Instead of the Bad performance, the "triumph" of the movie/third act was Michael being vindicated as an innocent saint. Literally, the entire point of the movie was to say that Michael is the victim and that all of his accusers are the real villains.

Seriously.

That was the third act that was initially shot, and only after the fact did the filmmakers realize that, due to the nature of the real-life settlement, that particular accuser's story couldn't be fictionalized in any way (a genius move on the part of that family's lawyers). This is also the reason the movie was pushed back a year - to reshoot an entirely new third act, plus a couple other new scenes to help better set it up.

All of this is to say that a version of the original message/intent will almost certainly now be how the sequel is framed: Michael as victim / accusers as villains. Only with a different boy/family - or boys/families - seeing as there's no shortage to choose from.

And if so?

**** every single person involved with the sequel.

Villain will be the doctor who killed him. And the press, who he famously hated.

I think at most, the movie will show how untrustworthy the accusers were in both 1993 and 2005.

The main focus will be the stuff I laid out above because in the end, people just want to be entertained with his music.

Which is exactly why I will never watch this movie. I was a MJ fan that grew up listening to his music and I still enjoy his music, but **** all these freaks that want to attack victims and paint this as some sort of conspiracy. He was an abuser and while I am a fan of his music, I am also glad that abusing freak is dead.

"Conspiracy" played zero part in this movie. I would predict it might play a part in his next film. But the sexual assault stuff wasnt even part of this film because it ended in 1987.
They basically place all the bad in MJ's young life onto his father's shoulders
