I just finished watching this on HBO a little while ago. If you have never been in combat and want to know what it is like, WARFARE is the most realistic portrayal of combat I have ever seen in a movie other than Restrepo which was a documentary. The only other movie that comes close is The Outpost. Once I started watching it, I couldn't stop watching it. I was on my 3rd deployment to Iraq in 2006, serving as the ABE (Assistant Brigade Engineer) NCOIC for 2nd Brigade Combat Tream, 1AD. I was sent to Ramadi on emergency orders and was there for just over a month serving as Task Force Engineer for TF 1-35ARMOR. Ramadi was rough. Several Soldiers I knew died in Ramadi. Being as I spent time in Ramadi, this movie hit home. I'll know later tonight if it was a bad idea for me to watch it
