Just rewatched the trailer on my tv.

This is going to be good.

Trailer should have ended right before Blip A showed up, or as soon as it did.

One my favorite aspects of the book, is the physical science, physics and all the problem solving and how Grace went about it. Converting everything from base 10 to base 6 was interesting.

The other is how he figured out the communication problem with Rocky.

Can't wait for the movie. Read the book and have listened to the audiobook twice.

I just can't help but wonder what changes (if any) they will do from the book. Something I am always hesitant about from book adaptations, especially ones from books I enjoy. Mainly the ending. I can legitimately see them messing around with that somewhat. Mostly because of the insatiable need to make money by milking out sequels.

Regardless, pretty stoked to see this. Rocky doesn't look too close to what I had in my mind. He looks far better and more feasible.

Agreed, similar but not what I imagined either. I think the language thing got nailed down though.

Curious about how they handle the ending too.

I think this movie will ride on if they keep the amnesia flashbacks throughout the story. It was key to the who, what, when, where, why, how of the story. The final flashback is critically devastating and sets up his final decision.

I think there's too much time between the flashbacks for them not to do this. Otherwise they're skipping ahead months between beginning scenes.
