The dude's impact on rock and roll and heavy metal is undeniable. He was a trailblazer and massive influence. No one sounded like Ozzy.

Loved so much of his work.

I hope he's taking that Crazy Train to Rock and Roll Heaven.

War Pigs popped up during one of my runs a week or so ago. It was the first time I just allowed myself to listen to it in a long, long time, probably since hearing the Faith No More cover back in the 90s. I was struck by how timeless and powerful the sound felt. Unproduced, no tricks. A rawness and presence you just dont hear anymore. And you think, I've listened to hundreds of bands/songs that sound just like this, and then realize, oh, this was the first one. This was the sound and songwriting those other bands were trying to emulate.
