Yeah, the last attempt to revise this series was a flop. But I tried this one anyway since I'm both a glutton for punishment and pretty open to giving shows a shot, and I've been pleasantly surprised so far. It has its issues but it's been entertaining

I was just about to start a thread asking if this show was good, so I'll be following this one to see if you recommend it after you finish the entire season!

Not gonna win any awards, but it's fun and entertaining for sure

We started watching this one a couple weeks ago. So far, it's been pretty good and has delivered exactly what we have expected. Nothing ground-breaking, certainly, just more killing people who need killing. We have enjoyed all of the Dexter series.

Yeah, I had not done any research into which actors would be popping up in this one - and am not sure how much they disclosed beforehand - but watching it blind has added a fun element to see who is showing up

Feel like I've seen the whole Batista is on the case plotline before, but this last episode with the serial killer dinner party was as fun as the original series. NPH made for a pretty inept serial killer...and that accent.

I'm liking the show so far.

Only part that is off for me is Uma Thurman's role. Not sure she fits it.

This is one of the best seasons of Dexter yet! I love Uma in anything. Haven't seen much of her lately.

Felt like a filler episode til it picked up at the end. Can't wait for the Dexter court room drama spin-off.

Overall I really like it. I hope it finishes strong

Original Sin was very good IMO

New Blood was average at best plot wise. Still entertaining

I liked Dexter so much I'll give any one of the spin offs a shot.

The female investigator's eyes are cracking me up.

I watched S1 of Dexter way back when and now watching this one. Like reading only the first and last chapter of a book i guess.

Man I was a massive Dexter fan during seasons 1-4. Then like a lot of other people were disappointed in seasons 5 through the end of the original series. I thought the follow up series sucked so I did not care about seeing Original Sin or Resurrection.

But we recently switched over from subscribing to HBO to subscribing to Paramount + and Showtime. Still didn't plan on watching these but my sister told me she was watching Resurrection and she liked it. Told me I should give it a try. Got all caught up with that and started watching Original Sin on the side. My wife and I actually finished the first season of Original Sin last night.

These are both great! My interest in Dexter has been renewed. I see that Original Sin is getting a second season which is awesome. My wife said she liked Original Sin better than Resurrection so far. I liked Original Sin too because it's back with the Miami vibe. Most of the younger characters really don't look too much like who they are portraying, but they nailed it with the guy playing a young Batista.

I really, really like this one. I'd rate this one just behind Dexter seasons 1-4. Ahead of Original Sin (which I also like), far ahead of New Blood (which I didn't like), and light years ahead of the last few seasons of OG Dexter.

Angel has always been my favorite, so if Dexter ends up killing Angel I'm gonna be pi$$ed.

My feeling is Harrison is going to be the one to turn his dad in, since Dexter keeps saying what a great moral compass he has. Especially now that Harrison wants to be a cop.

My only complaint is his accent isn't nearly as strong as old Batista's.

Its going to be weird if that happens, and then we turn around and see young Angel on S2 of Original Sin.

And agree with those who say this up there with Dexter S1-4.

Harrison betrayed him in the last series. And Dexter helped him this series by covering up his kill. If anything their relationship is getting stronger and Harrison will help Dexter if provided the chance is my guess.

I have to wonder, is one of the characters on this show going to be revealed as the New York ripper? I've heard some theories.

I have enjoyed this show, and have enjoyed all of the others with the exception of seasons 5-8. In my opinion, one of the pinnacle moments of television is when Trinity meets Dexter in the police station and when Rita met Trinity. But, if Dexter kills Batista I don't know how I will respond. Seems like the Ripper or the landlord should do the honors.

I have enjoyed the flashbacks during this season, but I certainly wish that they could bring Lila back. She does things....

I LOATHED Lila. If they brought her back I'd fast forward through every scene with her in it. Her voice, the obnoxious thing she does with her nose/mouth, obviously the way she acts.

I am on a strict posting moratorium to get my post/day average down to 2.5/day before the football season finishes for the AGS, but had to come back to say....you bite your tongue AJ02. Keep those filthy words about Lila off of this thread!!! She is spectacular.

Clearly he's afraid of bat **** crazy ladies.

I think Batista is freaking annoying and am rooting for him to be taken out. I don't care who does it.

New episode was boring until the very last scene.

I liked Dexter freaking out on the Earpods. Thought he'd do something rational like toss them into a moving vehicle to throw Batista off. Nope, pure psycho rage instead.
Dinklage commands every scene he's in. If he was an actual killer he'd be giving Trinity a run for his money.

Really enjoying this season. Just fun television. I sorta want Batista to get thrown into the looney bin, for all his crazy theories on the bay harbor butcher. That would be funny.

He has also cornered the market on little person roles. Got the plan to use real little person actors in that pesky Snow White movie canceled

He's only been in Dexter in 2025 thus far, but he has the Prater role cornered. I like the monopolist line of attack. It displays some agility when the usual woke/broke or its ilk won't work.

Once that's known, it will be crystal clear what occurred with everyone else.

The only really unknown now is how that NY ripper is tied to everything.
