What a horribly bleak and stupid finale.

What an utterly pointless season of television.

At least it's over for good…

I'm not even sure how I feel about that episode yet. I was not expecting such a heavy biblical swing to the season but, looking back at the previous episodes, it makes a lot of sense.

Yep. Over and I know I will never come back to watch it again but they did a good job keeping me here while it lasted.

I was highly entertained and it was more emotional than I expected. It actually landed better than I thought it would but my expectations were low after the season start.

It had a very Cohen brothers feel sprinkled in with some Tarantino.

Ali/Martin's role in the final episode was clutch.

I think the ending was very much in line with the show overall, going back to season 1.

Rue is a classic tragic hero, of sorts. Nothing ended well for anyone.

If anything, the only person that came out unscathed and maybe better was Maude's character. Everyone else went to hell in a handbasket just like the other seasons.

As bleak as that was, gotta say I really enjoyed it. When I was started to realize where the ending was heading it was like "are they really gonna do this?" and damn they did. The bar scene was riveting and the end hit more emotionally than I expected, also has a lot to do with Colman Domingo as an actor.

If you don't watch the aftershow featurettes there's a few cool tidbits in this one, gave me a bit more insight into why the creator took it where he did.

I have never seen a single episode of this series. Worth watching?

Better or worse for any particular demographic?

Tarantino was the one for me. The over the top violence, the way it was shot, etc. And some of the dialog, like early in the season when Alamo and crew are talking about "Have you ever been called a pig?" had a lot of diner scene in Reservoir Dogs vibes to it.

100% the most beautifully shot thing in a while. All the actors did great. And I liked the new characters. Yet, I found myself pretty bored and disinterested a lot of it.

Wasn't bad but definitely a series that limped to the finish line.

I could see Colman Domingo picking up an Emmy for guest star. He is always gold.

Also, Kitty's horrific butt implant was good for a laugh.

I don't suggest it. It is entertaining to an extent but there are so many other series that do not leave you shaking your head the entire time.

I say do it but forewarning that it is kind of bonkers and definitely not for the easily offended lol. I don't know that it has an age demo as much as it has a "are you cool with drugs, sex, and violence" stories regardless of age vibe. I recommend it. No regrets at all

Yeah, if you're looking for a tightly written neatly wrapped up story this ain't it. But if you're up for a crazy ride? Go for it.

It'll make you never want to have kids, kinda.

Shows the absolute underbelly of urban liberal hellscape for the youth of America.

This last season was "grown up" because they were all out of high school and **** for real, fast.

But the previous seasons were literally 15 and 16 year old kids doing drugs, having sex, committing crimes.. etc.
it was like a modern day "Kids" but kinda more fked up.

Wanted to tag along on this with a funny story. Had a friend over for dinner last week who is in her mid 50's and she brought her daughter who is 21. They were talking about watching Euphoria, and the Mom looks at her daughter and goes something to the effect of "you told me once that show is the most accurate depiction of modern day youth in America". To which I'm thinking oh **** our youth is in big trouble.

The daughter looks at her all confused and goes "I didn't say that, there is no way that is true, it isn't what I experienced at all in high school"

Which made me lol that this daughter had casually slipped that comment in at some point, and not really meant it (and forgotten all about it) and the mother had been stressing that her daughter's HS experience was all sex/drugs.

Not in many places… but it is definitely like that in many places.
