The Unauthorized History of the Pacific War Podcast is the creation of Seth Paridon, Bill Toti and Jon Parshall.

Seth is a World War II historian with over 20 years experience whose many roles in his career have been serving as a chief historian for The National WWII Museum for 15 years. Bill is not a historian, but a retired submarine commodore and military planner with a unique perspective as one who spent more than a decade sailing the same waters where these Pacific Battles took place. Jon is a world-renowned author, speaker, and, authority on the Pacific theater and brings his expertise and personality to every episode in which he is involved.

Together, the trio, or duo, bring the Pacific War to the audience in a unique and relatable way every week. Make sure you subscribe to get notifications of every fresh upload and new show!

if you haven't heard these guys, this is a very well done Podcast of the Pacific Theater. I don't think the guys who are doing it expected it to be as big as it has gotten, but they do a great job and it's very well researched.

Some of the stories I'd never heard before about certain battles on islands, sea, air, etc. and characters I was not super familiar with.

I'm so in. My grandfather was a surgical technician in the 489th Armored Field Artillery Battalion (7th Armored Division). I take any opportunity I can to learn more about what he went through.

Grandma was a true American Babe!!

He met her at a pharmacy/soda fountain in Leesville, LA when he was stationed at Fort Polk in 1941. He went in for a slice of pie, and he kept going back for her!

In 1961, my Dad met my mother when he was stationed at Fort Polk, as well. I owe my existence to Fort Polk twice over!

Jon co-wrote "Shattered Sword: the Untold Story of the Battle of Midway" with Anthony Tully that corrects many of the myths of Midway while adding new testimony from the Japanese side. It's a fascinating read. Jon occasionally posts here on TexAgs as well.
