As my kids have gotten older, they've started aging out of every Pixar movie being "must see" - the exception in the last few years being Inside Out 2, and while we eventually enjoyed the likes of Soul and Turning Red on streaming, others have been complete misses.

However, good buzz among their friends sent us to see Hoppers on Saturday. The trailer had been so heavily promoted I was pretty sick of it going in, but the trailer is only about the first 25-30 minutes of the movie, a real rarity in today's world, ,and the movie gets really crazy and really funny as it veers off in a really odd ball direction and has some really funny stuff in the final act with killer voice work from

Bobby Moynihan
Vanessa Bayer - 2 for 2 for me in recent entertainment between this and her appearance on the Scrubs reboot.

Wasn't planning on seeing this in theaters but after what I've read sounds like a fun time with the family once it's streaming.

We've actually taken my daughter to see it twice (the second time we had some friends' kids with us). She loved it both times, and my wife and I both laughed out loud at each showing. I was afraid it was going to be over-the-top environmentalism, but it wasn't at all. Plus, there were some great one-liners.

At the very end of the movie, the main scientist character said something that made both my wife and I exclaim "that's Peggy Hill!" I had no idea it was Kathy Najimi until then.

I still don't know why it made me laugh so hard, but I love when the main character rushes to confront Jerry on stage at the end and somebody in the crowd calls out, "Hey, it's that girl who hates the Mayor!"

Some real Enrico Palazzo vibes.

Took the grandkids to see this today and we laughed out loud several times. Definitely worth seeing! And a few moments they tug on your heartstrings as well.
