I agree with YellowPot97 - no flags on burn night. During Stack, knock yourself out.

Reward or not, I think your overthinking the whole flag thing. I don't think any of the "civilians" even noticed it. The people who worked out there or knew anything about it didn't seem to worry about it either. If anything, things like that give some people a little extra incentive to bust ass. True, working on bonfire is its own reward. Still, it's nice, especially for fish, to have some sort of recognition for giving up basically all their free time of their first semester at college. Letting people know who showed improvement, busted exceptional ass, etc. isn't showboating; it's more like giving somebody "employee of the month." Relax.

I see what YP is saying though.

Due to the rain and last minute pushing due to the rain I think time may have just ran short to adequately recognize perimeter poles at stack.

Given two possible alternatives - the all-out grode war that was Perimeter Poles "back in the day," and rewarding dorms with a pole at Burn - I'll take the poles at burn.
