Well i had sent an email to the SBA email box, Just starting a line of communications. I was one of the dudes this year that was SUPPOSED to have drums out there(dont ask...long story involving my POS alarm clock....).
Ive talked to a few old ags about having a seperate crew, with chiefs spread out in CS and around the state organizing rehearsals, drill, coming to cut and stack as a crew, and the big kicker, instrument procurment and fund raising. Its going to take alot more than SBA can muster to get bass horns and bass drums, so the band, in whatever form is going to have to put out the effort to get it(come on old rich aggies....).
I havent spoken to her(she asked me to call) again because as i said, i can rarely get reception when i have time to do it. The org. of all this(whos in charge, whether we organise a new crew/pot or not), is entirely up to yall, cause like i told her, im meat who does what hes told unless yall or the grays tell me otherwise.
I also want to make a side note, just as i made in my email. This is not my bid to get a chiefs pot, this is not my bid to make a namefor myself. The worst mistake i ever made was quiting FTAB when i was a fish. Unfortunatly do to injury my ability to go back is diminished if non-existant. I look at this as a way to atone for a very bad mistake, and help to bring back a tradition that has been dead nearly ten years, and means so much to me. I'll do what im told, in whatever capacity im told to do it in and be D*** proud i can do that much. I say that because of a snide comment that was made to me by a member of a dorm crew(and no i will NOT repeat who it was to anyone).... I want to clarify it before god and everybody right now.
Anyway, thats the total of the email i sent. Ill hold of calling amanda till later if shell be out tommorow. Im glad some of the greens get on here.....easy to get hold of the others that way
BTW My real name is Cory Watkins. Didnt make it out much this year because of foot injury and crew(im living OC rigt now but was going with dunn like i did last year)communication issues. I came under a dunn pot...
