Are the logs from the '99 stack still at the water treatment plant off 2818..I know they were still there about a year ago...just curious if they are still there

I thought they were at riverside campus.

I believe they are at riverside... I havent seen them, but i do remember seeing some pics on the internet of them laid out behind a chain-link fence

they may be there now...but for a long long time they were at the water treatment plant by the airport

How long are they going to keep them? Until the litigation is over?

They're far too old to use in any new stack. i suppose they'r ejust going to pile them one on the other and burn them? It wouldn't seem right to dispose of them in any other fashion.

could they maybe use a few of them in the memorial somehow...nothing like a mini stack, but if the integrity of the wood is still good enough they could carve a mural or something like in the MSC, or else a small covered area to sit, like a little wooden gazebo with some pretty etching.

Just something to be able to say "what you're looking at is made entirely out of logs from the '99 stack"

the picture I saw of them most of them have grass about 2-3 feet around them, so they are mostly rotten to hell

When I was still in school I had to take PTTS files out to Riverside all the time. In one of the fenced off areas they had the remains of Kyle Field's astro-turf rolled up. I thought about cutting off a piece and taking it with me but I was too fat and lazy to climb fences. I wonder if its still out there?
