The first part of the Hail Mary is where Gabriel and Mary changed the world forever. Before these initial words, there was only the Old Testament, before Jesus. After these words, Jesus came into Mary's womb, and the New Covenant predicted in Jeremiah 31:31 began, thus destroying satan's kingdom on earth. The devil surely hates to hear these words over and over and over again.

Then comes the words of Elizabeth, telling us all that Jesus is the fruit of Mary's womb. This tells us all that the effects of eating the forbidden fruit (sin and damnation) from the tree of knowledge of good and evil will thus be overcoming by eating the fruit of the NT tree of life (the cross), which is the body, blood, soul, and divinity of Jesus Christ.

Then comes the Holy Name of Jesus, which satan hates even worse.

Then come the words for heavenly intercession by Mary for us now, and at the hour of our death. James 5 tells us that the prayer of a righteous person is very powerful, and who is more righteous than the one who gave Jesus his sacred body and blood, Mary? Jesus tells Mary and Martha at the tomb of Lazarus that believers in Him never die, and are very much alive in heaven, and that would include Mary, who told us in her Magnificat that her soul MAGNIFIES the Lord, which makes Jesus clearer, larger, and more in focus in all of our lives. So yes, Mary's prayers are the MOST powerful that we can get...HAIL MARY!

I would argue the prayers of Jesus himself on our behalf (John 17) are the most powerful that there is.

John 17:9-11
I am praying for them. I am not praying for the world but for those whom you have given me, for they are yours. All mine are yours, and yours are mine, and I am glorified in them. And I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, keep them in your name, which you have given me, that they may be one, even as we are one.

Observations on lessons to pray. In the context below I convinced that Jesus is providing a template for how to pray and not a specific prayer to recite as he opposes meaningless repetition. When He prayed in John 17 He did not repeat a prayer or recite this prayer but prayed with His heart and mind with adoration, petitions, aligned with God's will, for others.

5 "When you pray, you are not to be like the hypocrites; for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and on the street corners so that they may be seen by men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full. 6 But you, when you pray, go into your inner room, close your door and pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.
7 "And when you are praying, do not use meaningless repetition as the Gentiles do, for they suppose that they will be heard for their many words. 8 So do not be like them; for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.
9 "Pray, then, in this way:
'Our Father who is in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
10 'Your kingdom come.
Your will be done,
On earth as it is in heaven.
11 'Give us this day our daily bread.
12 'And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13 'And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil. [For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.']

20 For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them. -Matt 18:20

16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. A prayer of a righteous person, when it is brought about, can accomplish much. -James 5:16

16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life. -John 3:16

I always have two or three gathered with me, even when I am physically alone. I am humbled to have with me those that are most righteous and enjoying eternal life.
