Great topic but it really depends on what perspective you wish to learn about. There are very good orthodox, reformed, and of course RCC podcasts available, to say nothing of skeptics/atheists who sort of operate in their own ecosystem.

Personally, I've become a fan of Father John Strickland recently.

Bart Ehrman I think is a somewhat cynical/bitter source but his podcasts/discussions tend to be at least informative if listened to skeptically. There's a lot out there, and I actually get a kick even out of a 'Billy Graham' podcast that essentially takes some of his sermons and puts in into 15 minute episodes.

Interested in getting some recommendations as well for both pastors and podcasts. Here are some in my regular rotation:

  • Mike Winger - Covers about every topic you could imagine. His overarching theme is how to think biblically about everything. Lots of Q and As.
  • Sean McDowell - Culturally relevant discussions.
  • R.C. Sproul / Ligonier Ministries - Great expository teaching from the reformed tradition.
  • Jonny Adravanis / Dial in Ministries - Pastor of Stonebridge Bible Church. Sermons are excellent. Great discussions on his Dial in Ministries podcast.
  • Keith Foskey (Harbor Freight Doug Wilson) / Your Calvinist Podcast - Don't let the podcast name turn you off. Routinely has guests from different backgrounds. Really enjoy his Theology from a Golf Cart videos. Tagline is "He's not like most Calvinists - he's nice"
  • Voddie Bauchum - Great expositor. I don't think he preaches anymore, but lots of sermons on YouTube.
  • Gary Hamrick - Pastor of Cornerstone Chapel. He's a dispensationalist and a pre-trib rapture guy which I don't agree with, but I still really enjoy his teaching.

I highly recommend downloading the Ancient Faith Radio app. There's so many great Orthodox podcasts on there!

I have recently added Sinclair Ferguson's "Things Unseen" which is a mostly daily ~5 min podcast. His Scottish accent is worth it in and of itself.

I really enjoy his sermons when he has been at our church.

He was great when he was in Columbia SC; I got to listen in person.

Edit: I would second ancient faith stuff. It adds a lot to your understanding of scripture and historic Christianity.

Alberino is getting more Apostolic (Catholic / Orthodox) friendly and was good on Michael Knowles this week. He's very legit.

This circle is inspired by Michael Heiser, a very close textual analyst who actually took (RIP) the Temple era worldviews seriously, including language (our definitions of angel / demon … simply wrong most of the time)

Bible Talk by 9 Marks is fantastic. Jim Hamilton and Sam Emadi just talk through the Bible chapter by chapter. It's really enjoyable.

And if I could be self-promoting, I teach a men's bible study every week at church, record the studies, and upload the audio to Spotify and Apple podcasts. I spent 3.5 years in Genesis, 77 studies in total. Might be what you're looking for? https://open.spotify.com/show/5PsCwbXh9pGRXGSs4p5EgY?si=3a9e6cad5eb84de7

In progress.

Blurry Creatures has a good YouTube as well.

Alberino, despite some Protestant lenses like Heiser (thus missing some essential context IMO, but I also appreciate his points re: Augustine and Enoch) is really, really good.

I agree with him about aliens also, and think he's skilled at differentiation, while also having some legitimate sourcing.
