Luke 12 7

Indeed the very hairs of your head are all numbered

How awesome is it to know how much our Heavenly Father loves us. We are his loved creation.

Amen to that!

I'm reading Thirty Steps to Heaven: The Ladder of Divine Ascent for All Walks of Life, which is essentially a commentary on St. John Climacus' The Ladder of Divine Ascent for laypeople. Came across this much needed reminder last night:
Quote:

For it is pride that fills us with anger when we are wronged. It is pride that makes us think, "I don't deserve to be treated like this! How dare they speak to me that way!"

Detachment from pride is the imitation of Christ.

Reminds me of Ephesians 6 12
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

It's an inspiring verse.

It's also depressing knowing He isn't having to count as high as He did 5-10 years ago.
