I'm so nice. They treat me well but say they are completely closed. What gives?

I watched a video yesterday and learned the religion has been closed to new members for centuries. If you're a Druze when you die your soul will soon go inside a newborn if the newborn was born into a family with two Druze parents.
So if they ring your doorbell you can talk to them as they do not proselytize, but don't beg to be accepted in because it won't work.

Why do you want to join? There are very few religious requirements for the "ignorant" members and is largely cultural.

They should have some openings after a recent convert from Druze to Christianity was killed along with his siblings, children, and parents.

I had to look it up. Wanted to make a snarky reply. I got nothing.

If you want to become a Druze just become an Ismaili lol.

Druze are just Ismailis who froze the 11th century doctrines of the religion (most of their theology borrows from Sijistani rather than later Ismaili writers, like Nasir ad-Din Tusi, Nasir Khusraw, or Hamid ad-Din Kirmani). They also believe that Imam al-Hakim was God himself, as opposed to orthodox Ismaili belief, which teaches that the prophets and Imams are physical human mirrors of the Universal or Divine Intellect (the first creation, or the Light of God) rather than God Himself.

I understand the word "God" in what you just wrote.
94chem,
That, sir, was the greatest post in the history of TexAgs. I salute you. -- Dough
