Bull! 6 women go on a ride. Not to diminish Blue Origin, the vehicle, the ground teams, or these 6 accomplished ladies. But these ladies are just asking for the ride. There is NOTHING any of them have done it will do that will affect the outcome of the flight.

Hyping this as a milestone or historic event for women cheapens later accomplishments that involve actual effort and/or work by bold and talented women.

Edit to add... I'm wishing these ladies a safe and exciting flight. This is an event they'll remember for the rest of their lives.

This Blue Origin rocket is just a glorified carnival ride. Geez they're interviewing the Kardashians as if they are expert commentators. They've replicated what Alan Shepard did 60 years ago with the exception of landing the booster rocket

I mean if there's a market for it, I'm glad someone's doing it. High altitude tourism and maybe some experiments that the vomit comet can't do, and completely reusable.

This is small potatoes compared to SpaceX but it's still valid rocketry.

Also the weight of the door swinging open looked unnatural like it was made of cardboard/wood. What's the deal with this door. It doesn't even look like a door thats capable of spaceflight. Door looks like it came off temu.

According to the Blue Origin website the Blue Origin New Shepard capsule, which is part of their suborbital rocket system, is constructed from a combination of materials, including aluminum for its light weight and strength. Additionally, they utilize carbon fiber, reinforced plastics.


So you have to understand that the capsule never has to survive re-entry like real spaceships do. They never leave the ionosphere and it's just a glorified carnival ride

No Gayle, you are not an astronaut.

You were a passenger on a flight, it just happened to go into space briefly.

When I fly on a plane, it doesn't make me a pilot or a member of the crew.

What the hell is wrong with these people?

It was a vanity flight for rich people that could afford it. Now you can do whatever you want to with your money, I have no problem with that but quit acting like you did anything special.
