Is using the N word worse than spousal abuse? Or murder?

You can only use the N word if you're black & then you can use it every other word like they do in rap music.

"With Apologies to Jesse Jackson" is the first episode of the eleventh season of the American animated television series South Park.

Parker and Stone had long wanted to create an episode exploring the racial slur, but struggled with a plot line beyond its opening scene. They subsequently found it easier to work on following comedian Michael Richards' controversy, in which he screamed the slur at hecklers.

HTH, OP.

Remember back in the 90's when all the white kids loved rap music. Every song had the n word in it. Could you imagine a white person going to a Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg concert today?

No it's not. But we've been conditioned to believe a word that blacks literally glorify and say constantly. It's ingrained in their culture in music, movies, and daily speech. But the left allows them to play victim at the same time.
That being said, I always taught my kids to never utter the word or even have it in their brains. That word, even in jest with some bros, can ruin your life quicker than almost anything else. It's the clown world we live in.

I looked in the mirror, no victim. But I do need a shave

I guess I was ahead of the curve as I have and likely always will dispise rap music.

I just had a thought... could you imagine if someone used the N-word in a song? Holy crap... they'd be so done!
No, I don't care what CNN or MSNBC said this time

I think it honestly depends on who says it... Hulk Hogan was known as the "say your prayers and eat your vitamins" guy and presented himself as a hero so he was held to a higher standard. Charlie Sheen said it at one point and nobody really cared because no one was really surprised by it or expected better from him at that point, so it had no effect. Same for Vince McMahan, Bill Maher, Madonna, and most others.

That said, I think anyone deeply offended by the mere presence of a word is wildly thin skinned and it is a good way of exposing overly dramatic people.

Hell, we've had former star football players here claim the n word was used by a honkey to falsely justify their feral behavior.
