It had nothing to do with the prison or Maxwell.

Well Huntsville is state max security facilities. Bryan is a fed minimum security facility.

Camp Bryan is the old Allen Academy military boarding school location, that fed into A&M back in the days when it was all male and everybody was in the corp. So, very old site. Very old neighborhood. It's on the MLK exit off the Highway 6 bypass in Bryan. Lots of clubs down that street, can get very rowdy at night sometimes. A couple years back someone shot off a bunch of fireworks at cop cars over there.

Because Huntsville is State prisons and Bryan is a Federal prison

Well, for Bryan, it's rough... I think that the latest BPD stats show 60% of calls are in that area.

Because all of the prisons in Huntsville are state facilities for *men*. Gatesville has the only two facilities for women, but also…still not federal.
