I posted this about Bessent early last year...dude has ice in his veins.Quote:
In 1992, Stan Druckenmiller was the lead portfolio manager at George Soros' quantum fund. The quantum fund is famous for the short position it took on the British Pound due to extreme interest rate risk position the Bank of England had gotten itself into with variable rate mortgages. One of Druckenmillers younger portfolio manangers presented a business case compelling enough that he was convinced, and later convinced Soros, that the move was the right one and extremely profitable. It resulted in over a billion dollars worth of profit to the fund and lead to the collapse of the Bank of England.
You want to break China? You'd want that portfolio manager on your team.
His name is Scott Bessent, current US Treasury Secretary.
Bessent was Michael Burry before there was Michael Burry.

As a 30 year old kid, Bessent convinced Soros to risk $billions in a currency speculation trade. Wow.
When he was first nominated by Trump, I was worried about the Soros' ties because I was familiar with that legendary trade and his involvement in it. I am not concerned about Bessent anymore.
