Those stupid tik toks during covid certainly doesn't help with getting that message out.

Just to refresh people's memories, some communities were paying extraordinary rates to nurses out of state jus to fill their staffing needs, temporarily. Others were doing choreorgahed dance numbers for vdieos.

No I know they aren't on strike because of ICE, really asking in general, they are on strike and protesting a hospital and interfering with the hospitals business…hence the correlation with NYPD arresting protestors that interfere with ICE.

You should really look into accepted safe staffing ratios vs. what some of those NY hospitals are running. You absolutely do not want to be on the patient side of those ratios.

The drama about patients and profits and everything else is all just propaganda. And they are absolutely willing to hold patient care hostage to try to get a bigger paycheck.

Even if true, they shouldn't be blocking the hospital. Denying healthcare as nurses should be against every fiber in their being. It's evil.

There are other ways to demonstrate the problems with staffing ratios. The argument could be made financially if management is all about the bottom line. Going on strike like this smells much more like Union greed and less about patient care.

If nurses feel they aren't making enough to make a decent living, maybe they should do something about the insane cost of living in NY brought to them by the democrats they keep electing. No one every wants to look at that side of the equation, it's always 'give me more money' which only exacerbates the problem.
