I read his bio and didn't come away terribly impressed by his qualifications for DNI. I don't need a lifelong intelligence insider, but I'd prefer to see someone with a whiff of international experience.

Before his nomination, Pulte served as Director of FHFA, which makes some sense given his history at Pulte Group and anti-blight non-profit work. He has done work in the investment space, including founding Pulte Capital shortly after graduating college. That's a hell of a leap to DNI.

Not that it matters to a lot of you, but a number of years ago when we were looking at a new homes we looked at Pulte. Found them to be cheap and not well constructed. Didn't think much of their corporation with their product.

He's not looking for previous national intelligence work, he's looking for personal loyalty.

There are several posters on this very site if blind allegiance and bootlicking is the only qualification (which of course is true)

"Bootlicker" again….. Apparently that is the latest leftist "insult" to anyone who agrees with President on anything, especially when it comes to respecting and obeying government laws and regulations. The cartel lovers seem to hurl that at ICE supporters quite often.

WTF are you talking about lol.

If anyone licks boots, it's this clown...and the boots were stolen from a baggage claim conveyor.

Also, Pulte has not spent the last 20 years boozing it up at college. Perhaps look at his experience a bit ...

How would you, or any of us, know this?

As to his experience, it seems questionable in regards to running an intelligence network. At least minimally.

You can still be a supporter of Trump without automatically poopooing any critiques of his choices. Especially when it's obviously a weird choice, looking at the job description in question.
i happen to know people who know the Pulte family quite well.

He's not running an intelligence network. He gathers and assimilates it for POTUS consumption.

Sigh . . .Tommy Callahan graduated from Marquette University in seven years.

And per several lawsuits, Tommy Boy Pulte was indeed the only beneficiary of Big Bill Pulte's Estate. Do some reading coop.

Tommy was able to mend fences with Big Tom's right hand man and bring the Callahan auto empire back from the brink, all while fighting off a weird step parent/step brother thing that was trying to sell the company to an auto parts king. It took him a little more time to get through school than most, but at least he finished. He persevered through college just like he did through a sink or swim approach to sales training.

I think a little respect is due from this board.

I don't need to. I know all about them.

See first comment when I said he was an odd pick.

I am traveling today but will get the read on this. My guy who knows them was not all that excited about him leading the FHA, I imagine a similar comment.

But your choppiness on Tommy Boy is ill placed along with many of your takes.

How about knowing people vs reading the national enquirer and comparing to comedic characters. Gnomsayin?

Edit to add: as expected the friend is perplexed by the pick. He may be serving a specific purpose. Just saw a blurb the DOJ has found MORE burn bags related to Jack Smith. It very well may be Trump continues to circle the wagons.

Believe Rubio still has like 10 jobs. He may be taking those he trusts the most and eliminating decidedly needed "cabinet" positions.

Call Trump and ask him. But the knee jerk that it's just old school cronyism seems dumb given neither of them are long term politicians.

Some old Ags might like the bootlicking from the thing above. Oh well, different strokes for different folks.

Maybe the plan is to build tract housing with a 50-year mortgage in Iran once the war is over.

The documentary Arrested Development showed that this was already done in Iraq. And, George Bluth may have committed some light treason.

Pulte is extremely loyal to Trump and he just proved in his current job he can absolutely cut spending and reduce workforce.
