He tweeted he'll be introducing legislation to do so shortly. Justification is that the public provided the information on which the models are trained so the government deserves half of it.

At ~85 years old with a heart attack in the rear view, I guess he's dumping his final pretenses and is advocating for full-on confiscatory communism.

If half of AI LLM data is from the public, shouldn't he write legislation to give half of their equity back to the public, not the government?

Old hat. Cesar (TX) and chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus wants to tax tokens so that companies can't come out ahead by using AI to replace people.

Bernie is really building on one of Sam Altman's proposals to give relief to laid off workers.

It all sounds great. Best case, 30% goes to workers, 70% is consumed by government and special interests. Liberals love spending (others') money.

He's owned by China. They want the US to be weaker at AI and Bernie is their guy
