Samsung opened its new HQs in Englewood Cliffs, NJ last year amidst much fanfare. Now they are closing it, bringing more than 1000 jobs to Plano, TX.

The X post talks about wanting to be close to the billions of dollars they have already poured into their 2mm chip fabs in Taylor, Texas. Of course the real reason is that NJ has one of the highest state taxes in the US, and ranks consistently as the one of the worst states in the US for being unfriendly to do business.

You know you are toast when one of your biggest selling points in 2026 is being close to NYC. So let's give the assist to Mamdani.

The bad news, Plano used to be solidly red - now it leans blue. This won't help but let's take another win for Texas.

There are not many NJ conservatives. I know a retired teacher from there that moved down here. Can't talk any sense into him.

The jobs are great, but I fear the people coming in will bring their voting lunacy with them. As said, that area is already bluish if not outright blue. Ugh.

Red states have to prop up these loser blue states

We also import lazy labor when these corps move to red states

Lazy labor votes blue while living in red

Everyone is losing

I don't think there's a good thing that we've all acted like it was. We're starting to see that the Democrats are actually happy about this. They retain power in the state that losing population and gain power in the new state.

Hopefully many of the employees find work elsewhere in NJ and don't come here.

I do know that many Starbucks employees have refused to move to Nashville.

just more proof that dems aren't capable of critical thinking. Leave a hell hole they created only to attempt to recreate in the area they settled.

While I understand this is not the norm, I know a guy who is moving here because of this. But... he's making the move from Florida, not NJ. Not everyone will move here will be from NJ, a lot of them are remote and are being asked to work in the office now. He votes Red, his wife is blue.

New Jersey might be one of the worst. Most Californians I've met who have moved to Texas are pretty conservative and hate what's happened to their home state. New Jersey dip****s just vote democrat regardless of what's going on. It's in their DNA.
