A friend of mine's son is in BCS, about to graduate & wants to work outdoors at least for the summer.

Good kid, very smart and respectful, not a lot of experience but willing to work and learn. Has a drivers licence, drug free.

Willing to do landscaping, farm/ranch work or learn a trade. I know the kid and both of his parents, will vouch for him.

You can PM me here if you know of anything.

Cannot PM but recommend pursuing fire career training that can lead to a variety of career options. Firefighters/EMT or FF/Paramedic can lead to working in a hospital, 911 setting, wildland fire, or a safety role in the private sector. An investment of $5-$10 thousand can earn up to six figures depending on years of service and rank advancement. One might be able to seek scholarship opportunities. Email in profile if you have more questions.

Links to training and example of compensation.

Land Surveying is a good option if he enjoys the outdoors. There are some good companies around the BCS area. It could lead to a well paying career and we need young folks to enter the profession.

Golf courses provide a lot of opportunities in landscaping, turf management, agronomy, etc.
