And baseline 16gb in them I believe. I am thinking team red is going to spank in raw performance while the 5070 might eek out wins with all its fake frame gen turned on.

a 32gb version is definitely designed to make a killing off of AI folks and it is overkill for the card in gaming. Smart move. Im guessing they will charge 1k+ for the card, when the additional memory probably only costs 50 or so.
I would bet its around $750 if the base card with 16gb is $550-$600. This would completely **** on nvidia's parade because that would be on par with the 5070 TI pricing with 16gb.AgDev01 said:

AMD is definitely pushing the XT over the regular 9070. I have the feeling that the XT is going to be really praised and the 70 will be trashed in reviews. Those MSRPs are way to close for the expected performance difference.
If i can get a card at MSRP i think it is going to be a buy for me. playing KCD2 my 30 series card is really showing its age.

Yep, same, the XT being on par with 5070 ti at base before overclock and cheaper, its a no brainer.
I've never not used NVIDIA. Granted, I will be looking at a gaming laptop. I just don't want to be tied down to my desk for gaming or general PC use, so have to deal with the underpowered performance of these GPU's. I'll go with whatever is the best laptop GPU I can get on a gaming laptop for $3,000-$3,500.
Yeah I was seriously considering a 5070ti from the Nvidia launch, but of course wanted to wait and then Nvidia basically decided to die on the bed. This seems like a MUCH better choice and will be actively looking at an OC model.FatZilla said:

I haven't had a chance to watch the reviews yet but im sure they will be entertaining. Im also sure that they will still sell out of cards at inflated prices.

Tldr, 5070 pretty much on par with 4070ti for raw gaming without garbage ai frame gen. No where near 4090.
Yeah the reviewers are being pretty brutal. So very disappointed in Nvidia. Reaaaaallllllllyyyyyy looking at Team Red for... the first time since the early 2000s?

same for me, though i was probably more loyal to EVGA than NVIDIA. With them gone it really removes a barrier for me to switch.
Reviews and benchmarks are out. Its definitely a team red value generation.
Yeah 5070 are at around $700, not really any available. The 5070 Ti is $1200 plus and the 5080 is a ridiculous $2k. Prices off part picker.
I will go to a 9070 XT unless they announce and XTX in the next month or two.
It's crazy how expensive it's getting to do PC gaming though. Hard to stomach a bit when you look at PS5 and maybe Switch 2.

I work close enough to the Dallas location... 38 minutes when I tracked it an hour ago, but it's no more than 25 minutes without traffic. I might run down there when traffic dies down in the next 30 or so and see if I get lucky. I'll post back here if I do.

Tldr: great card, beats 5070 in a lot of places. Extremely power efficient, price to power vs XT is on par, about 8-10%. Both it and XT are great cards.

I ran down to Microcenter to see if I could get lucky, but there was a line of probably 200+ people weaving in and out of the aisles and one of the Microcenter employees told me all those people had tickets that accounted for all of the xt at MSRP. They just hadn't been scanned out of inventory yet since those people hadn't checked out yet. They did have some ~$750 units unallocated, but my 3080 is still kicking well enough that I didn't feel like sinking any extra cost over MSRP to stand in line to check out.
Got in line at the Dallas microcenter about 15 minutes before doors opened.
Took just over 2 hrs to make it through the whole thing.
While in line a few people were able to snag orders through Newegg or someone similar, and they left.
I was probably around person number 500, but it's hard to gauge a crowd like that. I miss the old days of midnight releases, but it's less fun when there's so much uncertainty and scarcity.

i think the AMD slide was supposed to say 85% of our GPU's are priced above $700 instead of 85% of gamers buy cards less than $700.

I wound up getting lucky and picked up a 9070 XT from the Dallas Microcenter Friday afternoon. They had a late arrival of some MSRP and slightly above MSRP cards that showed up mid-day one of their clerks told me. I happened to check stock about 3:45 PM at work and saw they had 5+ of 4 different variants and made the 30 minute drive south.
I've been impressed with this thing, awesome price to performance with the state of GPUs right now. I ran a 3DMark Timespy benchmark and scored about 49% higher on the 9070 XT versus my old 3080. Seeing about a 30-40 frame boost in FFVII Rebirth.

The 9070xt is pulling away from the 5070ti by quite a bit now. Up 9% overall with driver improvements at 1440p since launch and 4% at 4k. Some metrics have seen up to a 27% boost.
