My son got it for his birthday. We're struggling to figure out how to both play multiplayer at the same time.

He has a child "controlled" account that is tied to mine. He can play multiplayer online on his own, I can login and play online on my own but we're struggling to get on at the same time and join a lobby and play online together or even play a local private match with the two of us and bots

What are we doing wrong? This is my first foray back into online gaming since I was in college. And that was Xbox Halo not COD

Are you trying to do this on the same console? If so, I don't think you can do that and if you are on different consoles I don't believe you can use the different accounts at the same time. Pretty sure to play multiplayer you both have to purchase the game. Y'all should both be able to play Warzone at the same time though.

Sounds like you are both playing on separate devices?

If so, you will need to make a party, i/e make sure you both are on each other's friend list, log on, go to friend list and click "join" , then the party leader picks which game to play

I am not familiar with child controlled account, i would assume this would be the barrier disallowing you both to play, perhaps disable it when you play together. What does it say when you try to play together?

If you are playing on the same device, split screen, i am not sure if you both can do multiplayer online together anymore


oh i see you say his account his tied to yours, i/e you cannot play two people or separate consoles with the same account. Just make his own and add the restrictions, it's free
