I bought a used Retroid Pocket 3+ earlier this year. It has exactly what I wanted in that it plays everything from PSP and Dreamcast back. I think it can play PS1, but I haven't messed with that yet. Definitely not good with PS2.
I'm also realizing that a huge percentage of retro games are either fighting games or racing games. When 3D came around, I guess shooters started taking over. (What are we teaching our kids!?)
I'm spending most of my time on sports games, including boxing, basketball, tennis, and football. I'm also enjoying replays of the two PSP God of Wars, which really stand the test of time.
Nice, that's actually a really good little device for that kind of stuff. I had a similar setup for a while and ended up using it way more than I expected, especially for PSP games, they just feel right on a handheld, and yeah those God of War titles still hold up really well. I noticed the same thing digging through older libraries too, so many fighters and racing games, it almost becomes noticeable after a while. If you're already into sports games, I remember putting a lot of time into Virtua Tennis and NBA Street, they're still fun and don't feel dated like some sims do. Also I did try PS1 on mine and it worked great, that's honestly where it got addictive because you suddenly have a huge catalog that's perfect for short sessions. Lately I've been mixing that with quick online sessions when I don't feel like starting something longer, and I checked
https://jeetcitycasinoreview.com/app/ just to understand how mobile access works on those platforms, it's all browser-based instead of an actual app which is kind of similar to emulation setups where you just load and play without installing much, makes it easy to jump in for short sessions on your phone too.
