Didn't see this coming!

Was hoping for a new game....not a remake. It looks ok, but the gameplay seems fairly basic and outdated at this point.

I'd be fine with a remake if it also included another 10-15 levels. 64 holds up quite well and is still a blast to play, but man, Nintendo sure seems lazy lately.

Yeah, doing a remake of SF64 is an interesting choice... they could have gone any direction with this.

But at the same time, man this game looks really really good! I don't have a Switch, but I'd buy this for sure if I did.

I like how 80% of Star Fox is still just one game. This is like iteration #4 of SF64.

Which itself is really even a retelling of the first game. I just replayed SF64 before seeing the Mario Galaxy movie, still love it, but they definitely keep going back to the same well. Curious if they chart a new story from here, or what the plan is.

What would make this really awesome, much like the branching paths in Starfox64...

Beat Andross the correct way and Fox get pulled into a wormhole/time warp where he gets to fly alongside James, Peppy, and Pigma on a 6-8 stage mini map covering the events leading up to James McCloud's being betrayed by Pigma.

I'm not hopeful, but it would be a lot like the move they pulled with DK Bananza.
