*New to the nerdery*

I'm tech illiterate and need some advice between two framed TVs for our house. We're looking at either the hisense s7n canvastv or samsung the frame (probably 2025 model).

Is the Samsung the frame THAT much better than the Hisense?

If you want the best overall "art TV" experience, I'd still go with the Samsung The Frame LS03FA (2025). It looks more premium in person, the matte screen is excellent, and the whole art mode/setup just feels more polished. It blends into a living room really well.

That said, the Hisense S7N CanvasTV is honestly a great value. You get a very similar concept for less money, plus Google TV and solid gaming features. For most people, it's probably the smarter buy dollar-for-dollar.

My take:

-Want the nicest "gallery wall" look? Samsung.
-Want 80-90% of the experience for less money? Hisense.

I'm drifted away from Samsung anything over the past several years. Ended up with an LG gallery series around 2021 and it's been solid. I haven't shopped TV's in awhile, but at the time LG and Sony were the only game in town for true OLED. That may not still be the case, and it may not matter for what you're wanting though.

Samsung and it's not even close.

Another TIP about Samsung and TV's... Samsungs are the only TV where if something goes out (video, power, digitizer) they're all small separate baby motherboards that can be swapped out for 20-60 bucks.

Any other TV - throw it away, it's "one huge board".

Need proof?

Just open back (easy), unplug cables, snap in new board, put back on = done.

When you're going to pay THAT MUCH for a Frame, as they're more expensive, consider this.

I haven't opened up a frame, but I don't see why it would be different that the other Samsung flat screens...

If you go with the Frame, look at Costco and go with an extended warranty. They have a couple of very common failure points that cost more to repair than the tv is worth.

Whatever you're considering, give some thought to the UI for the TV, particularly with respect to ad placement.
