Just got some updates from my parents:
Camp Heart of the Hills was destroyed. No campers present but the owner/director died in the flood.
Camp Waldemar lost some horses.
Camp Stewart lost some buildings but no campers present.
Camp Mystic the story about Dick and kids being rescued from the river was true but no further information about the other missing kids.

Power substation in Hunt was destroyed. May be a long time before power is restored so my parents are looking to relocate.

God is good! Praying for all the families and girls going through this!

I was going to ask that about LaJunta's stable earlier but didn't want to come off wrong. They had a large stable. That sucks.

Horses are good swimmers. Hopefully a few of them made it.

The speed of the river was beyond belief. So brutal and so sad.

Two girls we are looking for are pictured - Lytal and McCown.

I went to La Junta for 13 years. The stables are pretty high unless they have horses turned out into the pasture. Dave that runs the stables is a great horseman and lives nearby. Hopefully the horses survived. They have over 30 of them. They have a full staff of laborers in addition to the camp staff. They are far more outfitted for something like this than probably anywhere else in the state. Larry Graham one of the old owners was a seal. Great family.

The cabins are 30-50 ft higher than the river. The sheer amount of water to get that high is insane.

Would someone please let me know if there is another press conference.

Likewise, and took my son down there for a weekend in April. Had to hike up a hill to get to the stables. I couldn't believe it when I heard that they were hit.

The one on the left is the daughter of our friend from med school. She was found in a tree with the other girl by some good samaritans downstream from Mystic. She has been reunited with her family and they were not in the same Cabin as dermdocs niece.
