The media vultures looking for tears at the 10 PM news or the headline on the daily paper can go **** themselves.

I said this to my wife earlier today about the interview with the man looking for his daughter. The media doesn't give a **** about any of these people. They are just attention seeking *****s.
Don't give them clicks or views. Give victims and families or first responders involved the space they need. If they want to divulge info or details later then more power to them. Have some compassion for God's sake.
my son turns 8 in a couple months and this destroyed me. God bless you and all involved. I wish I could give you a hug.saysomethin said:
Same. My 8yo son awoke to yelling. He was on bottom bunk and water was at bottom of mattress. Said they climbed to top bunks and then the things on top of shower, I guess rafters, and then the water went down, wall got knocked out, and they were able to wade out the door. He was in cabin 5. We were in a much better place because La Junta sent out all accounted for texts starting at 6:26 AM. Mystic wasn't able to do the same. Gutted for them. Our Daughter supposed to be there in August. Herding boys is a lot different in this scenario than herding girls. I just can't imagine. Going back out at daylight to help. Buddy had to ID his 8yo at morgue. Our boy seems fine but they were pretty insulated from all the news across the other camps.
BREAKING: In a staggering loss, Camp Mystic said in a Monday morning post on its web site that it has lost 27 campers and counselors in the July 4 flood.

Edit. I went to the website it states 27 lost and that they are in communication with officials while the search is underway.Charpie said:

Does this mean they have now found all the bodies?

Then the Media can go through appropriate channels i.e. Press conferences and asking officials questions. Badgering people that are going through terrible tragedy isn't it.

Camp Mystic is grieving the loss of 27 campers and counselors following the catastrophic flooding on the Guadalupe river.
Our hearts are broken alongside our families that are enduring this unimaginable tragedy. We are praying for them constantly.
We have been in communication with local and state authorities who are tirelessly deploying extensive resources to search for our missing girls.
We are deeply grateful for the outpouring of support from community, first responders, and officials at every level.
We ask for your continued prayers, respect and privacy for each of our families affected. May the Lord continue to wrap His presence around all of us.

Given that we are 72+ hours out, i ASSUME that means it has gone from rescue to recovery. I can't imagine the camp has not been in constant communication with the families given what we've heard about on here.
The sad reality as we all know is that after floods of this scale there is a point where presumed deceased becomes the working assumption. The sadder reality is that after floods like this, it is often the case not all bodies are even recovered and again you have missing presumed deceased perpetually. There is some math at play behind the scenes that goes into it with tons of variables.Ol Jock 99 said:
