We wanted to share a powerful example of Aggie leadership and selfless service. In response to this weekend's tragedy in Central Texas, the student leaders of Student Bonfire have mobilized to respond to the Kerr county's disaster response and recovery operations' direct request to assist with timber, brush, and debris clearing operations on the ground.

These students are volunteering their time and physical labor to help families in need, and they are doing so with remarkable heart and humility. Their advisor recently posted an update on their efforts, which you can read here on Facebook.

The Brazos County A&M Club is making a donation to support these young leaders, but more help is needed. If you'd like to contribute directly to Student Bonfire's efforts in Kerr County, you can donate through their website:

Derm, when my best friend died and it was posted here (he spent a year at TAMU), we printed out the pages where people were offering their condolences and gave them to his parents. They didn't use Texags and likely wouldn't have given the circumstance. I do believe they appreciated the gesture, Mary Grace's parents may one day appreciate reading some of the last few pages of responses?

That's what they were saying before but Ingram Fire Department posted this last night. It seems a lot of the searching now is sorting through and clearing debris so more unskilled manpower is needed.

My parents left their home on the north fork yesterday for the first time to come to my house. They said even though they've seen lots of videos on Facebook and the news the devastation was still staggering. Debris and destruction everywhere. The roads there follow the river so it's constant.

Everything looks completely different. The river used to be surrounded by Cypress trees and those are gone. I noticed that on the Camp Mystic footage. You could see the camp from the road which wasn't really possible before. There was a hideous concrete wall that was put up right in the middle of Hunt that blocked the view of the river, luckily that was destroyed.

My mom was on the phone with a friend last night that lives near Waltonia. She said two of her neighbors houses were robbed sometime in the last two days.

Maybe this was already shared but hearing Pat Green's younger brother, his younger brother's wife, and their 2 kids are unaccounted for. I saw this on his wife's IG.

I heard from a buddy close to recovery efforts that the numbers may be WAYYYY higher than we have been told. The number of people that were out camping etc for the weekend and their families were unaware they were there.

there are so many piles out there right now that need a massive excavator to pull them apart. I agree with your buddy. Some of the areas are hard to reach as well.

One of the county officials said that at one of the first pressers….they didn't know who or how many they were looking for because they had no idea who or how many people were even there.

If anyone was already in the market for a golf polo, Rhoback is donating 50% of sales from their Texas collection to relief efforts. They have maroon, orange, and purple state logos, plus ones for Dallas, Austin, Houston, San Antonio, and generic Texas. Per their email, they will be donating proceeds to the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund and the Camp Mystic Therapy Fund. Thought it was worth mentioning.

That pattern is very standard when flying an imaging package. We have software that tracks methane emissions monitoring flights and those are the kinds of patterns always flown by those planes.
