I'm sure almost everyone knows this hymn. For those that do not, this hymn was written by Horatio Gates Spafford after his 4 daughters died when an iron sailing ship ran into the ship that his wife and daughters were on. His wife survived. To be honest, it doesn't bring much comfort right now. I can't imagine if I lost my 8 year old son. Much love for all of you grieving. I grieve for you.

I hope it's true, but either way disappointed in inconsistent messaging. As I sit in Hunt this morning on my 12th day of this ordeal, searching for 3 people is a bit different than searching for 97. I have told myself multiple times, it was my last day, but the volume of families needing closure made that impossible.

Wanted to share that Mary Grace was honored in our church service today at The Woodlands Methodist Church.
I didn't 100% catch the connection but one of our pastors speaking today's wife is either her cousin or is cousins with her mom.

Ours was about suffering, as well. Psalms 27 was the focus of our sermon. I

As if the heartbreak and fatigue weren't enough, the frustration with people's inability to simply communicate English adds to the frustration. Why must we have ambiguously defined words such as:
Lost
Missing
Deceased
Recovered
Found
People who claim to be journalists and leaders communicate with the precision of toddlers who haven't learned basic pronoun/antecedent rules, conjugation of basic verbs/tenses, or the importance of time in the sequencing of events. I understand the haze of battle, but it's just utterly ridiculous to see so many people communicating like it's their 3rd language.

CBS news report. I don't know if it makes the news more reliable or less. Shouldn't this be the biggest story in the United States, both for the good news, AND for the unfathomable incompetence? I get that 200 people could be missing, but revising it to 3 in one fell swoop? How is this possible? You can't just drop that bomb on the public and then head over to the VFW for brisket night.

I'm assuming that people who were camping and left very early that morning, or possibly even the day before, have been contacted periodically. I'm guessing that is where a large portion of those 100+ people who have now been accounted for comes from.

The cynic in me thinks that it works both ways - if they had someone missing that they can't verify was camping along the river, they just fall off the list.
I know the HTR TX RV Park had been refusing to release the number of missing or deceased people. I think they are a chain business, and immediately lawyered up. I hope their last ditch attempt to save their business didn't cause unnecessary hardship for families, recovery efforts, or anyone else.
