The Nightforce NXS 5.5-22x50 with illuminated reticle is looking very nice, it's also SFP and not a very complicated reticle. Optics Planet has the NXS 5.5-22x56 with illuminated reticle for the same price of as the 50mm at $1,980. Any reason to go with the 50 over the 56?

Only advantage of the 50 is weight and probably lower ring height.

Looks like the 50mm is 31oz and the 56mm is 32oz.

Do the 50. The additional height required for the 56mm clearance over the barrel can create line of sight alignment / cheek weld issues for many shooters.

My personal favorite is the C433. It's on my rifles and the default for my builds unless customer has a preference otherwise.

Some of the Swarovski Z8 have plastic turrets. Never heard of plastic components inside. They made scopes for the German military starting in 1949… so…They are not as heavy duty as NF but arguably have the best glass available and don't weigh near as much. I have used them for many years and have never had reliability issues. Bouncing around on ATV's or in trucks no issues.
Everybody has an opinion on who builds the best scope. I like Swarovski because of the quality of glass, Some like NF, some like Leupold, some like Schmidt & Bender, some like Zeiss, some like Japanese glass…it's usually a matter of opinion and budget.

If I'm buying Swaro, I get Khales. More rugged line than their standard Swaro hunting scopes.

I know they are not the same, but Swaro owns Khales. I like their offerings

I don't use my scopes as hammers.

Haha I try not to. But sometimes it happens. My Khales LPVO is my favorite scope I own.

If I want a hammer I'll use my night force Atacr lol

My Leica Amplus has great glass and tracks well with no POA shift. Don't think it's been officially drop tested by the Rokslide but I've been happy with it.
