No need to justify yourself. Only you know you and your family. No one here has the perfect formula to parenting.

As they say in toxicology, "the dose makes the poison". A piece of candy after eating all the food on your plate is different than eating cake for a meal. 20 minutes of tablet time during a 3 hour hunt isn't going to turn your 3 year old into a vegetable.

But that's not what Giddings said, which is who I was responding to.

I do agree that 3 hours sitting in the stand with a screen is damaging, wasteful and rather pointless.
