I started bringing my sketchbook to the deer stand this year to help pass the time while observing more closely as well.

Here are a few from opening weekend, as seen from different deer stand at various times if day.

Very nice. I envy someone like yourself with artistic talent like that. I'm hard pressed to draw stick figures.

Thanks, I started doing things like this as a way to sit around when my kids were little and not just be on the phone.

It's been fun and I've gotten a whole lot better over the years now but it's still just a way to decompress and relax for a while.

I will post more from the season for sure... Won't be out much till Thanksgiving unfortunately.

These are some from waiting during my daughter's appointments the past few weeks. Helps to distract and relax a bit.

Thanks, this sketchbook was actually a Christmas present. It's been great so far, taken all over the country this year already.

I wanted a small enough book to be able to do on a back pack and take anywhere with out bedtime a table or something to draw on.
It does have my name etched on, just blanked it for the Internet.

Impressive.

Be sure to title/subject & date them. After going thru digital copies of my grandmother's paintings I wish I knew where the scene was and what year she painted it. Some I know the site, others aren't familiar.
