I went down the Devils with a group of friends and my father on our own. Good Trip. I did note those links you listed when we went on the Pecos River, and I spoke with the guy in the links. I ended up going with Far West Texas Outfitters and had a good trip, and Mike was a fantastic cook.

Just bumping as we have a crew heading out next month.

Super interested in further suggestions on what to bring/not bring. Also any additional fishing lure insights.

Not being a debbie downer, but the fishing on the Devil's isn't that great. Was hit too hard for too many years.
I think it's helpful for first timers knowing that going in. Temper your expectations.

It's one of the most beautiful areas in the state and it's an amazing paddling/camping trip. Take that for what it's worth. If you wanna catch fish, go do the Pecos.
