Hmm...wonder if the one in Kingwood has that going as well? I didn't look when I was there yesterday, but did pick up a couple of pork shoulders ($0.99/lb) and some pork roasts. Got out with a couple of shoulders and couple of roasts for <$40.

It does, the crap part is that their standard cut is 12.99/lb but it you want the think cut ones, they are 13.99/lb. Both are marked as regularly priced at 22.99/lb. Why on earth would it cost more to cut it thicker, just HEB being HEB.

$12.99 is good, but not as nice as $9.74 with the employee/family discount. Also picked up $0.97 pork butts I had to get a raincheck on. Final total was $93 with $91 of total savings. Ribs are on sale for $1.77 this week, so I'll pick up some when I get more steaks tomorrow.

If this deal attracts you, you really ought to jump on the flat iron steaks at Costco. I can get almost 4 lbs of meat for around $10/lb and it tastes every bit as good as a ribeye. Don't get me wrong, Ribeye is the king of all cuts of meat, but the flat iron is no slouch and it's far cheaper.

I have never seen flat Iron steaks at Costco. You are correct, flat iron steaks are as good as rib eye but cost less.

I look for chuck steaks with a larger chuck eye. The chuck eye isn't exactly like a ribeye but but pretty close.

Individuals were 13.99. Packs of 3 were 12.99. I grabbed 3 singles all 1.5 lbs each.
