I have a new pup who is just over 3 months old and we've been feeding him kibble and a milk powder from Tractor Supply at the direction of my breeder. I know he can come off of the milk powder but I hate to waste it if it's still providing good nutrients.


Is there anything wrong with just finishing the bag of milk or should I just trash it ?

Rule #1

If you are providing a high quality kibble he shouldn't need any extra nutrients. That being said, if he isn't getting fat or having loose stool problems it shouldn't be detrimental.
Edit... is it a milk replacer specific for dogs? If not, I would just ditch it.

Also a vet. Also agree.

Loose stool has cropped up just this week and that is exactly the advice I needed.

And, just because we are supposed to be an advocate for the voiceless dog... Make sure you are feeding a quality food that he/she gets excited about. Food is one of the high points of a dogs day
