WTH
They were clean less than a week ago and suddenly these little devils are fully covering pastures. I've never seen them come out this fast or this early.

And we actually got rain. I have never seen them in these pastures before but it's literally acres upon acres of coverage with seed heads everywhere. WTH do I do now? I'm traveling tomorrow until Sat so I need to formulate a plan

I hate the damn things. I had the same happen to me one year at the ranch in Kimble County.

Boat racing is like a beautiful woman.......expensive, high maintenance, but well worth the fun!

You sure it's sandbur (cenchrus species)? It's too early for them to have formed a seedhead this time of year in north TX. Post a pic and lets see what you have.

Any chance it's actually short leaf spike sedge? I get it in my lawn at times. The spikes are soft unlike sand burrs.

Looks like it's probably Texas Sedge

Dammed if they don't look like sandburs when they first come in

Sedges have triangle stems not round
