How long do you want to ignore this user?
I found a food trailer I like for a price I like it; the only thing it doesn't have is a fire suppression system and propane lines run.

I can have the propane lines run easily enough by my plumber; would my plumber also be able to install a fire suppression system if I bought it by myself?

The two quotes I got so far are crazy money.
I know a lot about a little, and a little about a lot.

So in Texas you have to have a license to install and maintain a fire suppression system. A reputable plumber won't do it. First because it is illegal for him to, and second it is more than just the pipe. There are cables to be run (the cables actually operate the whole thing in most of them), and it has to be tied into the vent fan as well. Once installed it is tested by the Fire Marshal's Office and an installation tag is placed on it. It is inspected regularly by a fire suppression company and they put up to date tags that the Fire Marshal looks for when he inspects you.
TLDR: Shop around until you find a decent price, it isn't a DYI thing. Source- I deal with this stuff literally every day.

I'm not gonna go all you get what you pay for on this. I'd shop around some more, but you may never get a "cheap" price. There are all kinds of rules/standards about how these systems have to be set up. It won't be done correctly or be able to pass an inspection unless you have a company do this that specializes in it.

Remember Zooguy lives in Tennessee…. the hillbilly version of a fire suppression system there is two guys with a bucket full of water.

Do you just need the fire suppression or an entire type 1 vent hood? The thing is the ANSUL system is more than fire suppression. The whole system trips and shuts off any gas or electrical circuits, your makeup air has to turn off and the exhaust fan keeps going in the event it is triggered, so multiple components have to work together. In other words, get it quoted and have a pro do it as it's a fairly complex system.
