We have been happy with the bulls from Thomas Charolais in Raymondville. They have a good website with contact numbers and should have some bulls for sale.

The West's here outside of Pleasanton have always produced some good cattle. West Charolais 210-260-3984.

Haven't gone charlois in years, but there was a breeder just south of Luling we used to deal with... original owner passed away some time ago, but Lewis Ranch is what's on the sign now. They always had some high quality cattle in the past, never had any calving issues w/ their bulls on mature brangus cows (never used on heifers, though).

Gotta ask - why do people raise this breed? Is it their beef quality, temperament as pets, or fun to look at, or a mix of all the above?

Charolais are an ideal terminal cross for feed efficiency, gain, lean meat yield, calf payweight, etc.
The hide color is an advantage; bulls get out and work even when it's hot instead of hanging out under a shade tree or in a tank, and you always know which calves have Charolais influence and can expect that extra growth--much easier to project than other hide colors.
Breeds change over time, but historically, this was a good contrast to the heavier marbling, heavier milking british breeds like angus and hereford that had less performance and more fat trim.

They also happen to be underrated generally on the maternal side as well, but I digress as an obvious bias presenter...
We've dabbled in freezer beef sales and that has put an emphasis on marbling -- there are Charolais genetics that do better there; just like angus have put more performance into their breed.

Our legacy started with a very gentle bull and familiarity with an A&M professor who bred Charolais.

I will have to check with my dad '76 Animal Science, but I think we had some buddy deal for me to have a show steer from Dr. Butler back in the mid 80's. Don't hold me to it, but that name rings a bell. Didn't win a damn thing with that steer!
