I will be swinging the Minelab around 5pm tomorrow at the old church on the loop (sorta by Tractor Supply) if any NB Ags want to stop and say howdy.

By the way, we need a metal detecting forum. I can't be the only one who loves dirt fishing!

I'd totally stop by if I was over near there. This is a cool idea!! Toss it out there every time you'd be open to company.

Relic hunter here. I've found some cool stuff around Mason county. Pre civil war military mostly. Have not been out for a while now. I need to secure some new sites. I have Garrett AT Pro and Deus. Love dirt fishing. I would be interested in meeting up with you sometime.

I have an entry-mid level metal detector and a wand. Haven't really messed with them much, other than finding my BIL's wedding ring he had lost.

Don't know where to search - I should start with my own yard, which is old farm land.
I know a lot about a little, and a little about a lot.

Come on down. We will hit some river spots and find loot!

The AT is a perfect river hunter.

Absolutely…I have a friend who has an old homestead on his property and bought a detector just to see what he could find.

His FIRST DAY he found an 1890's Morgan and a 1930's State of Texas chauffeur badge…needless to say, he is hooked.

Be patient, learn your machine and yes, you will need to dig trash to dig treasure.

That's fine. I've dug enough holes for my 25 or so fruit trees.

We have 1.5 acres in East Tennessee.

I know a lot about a little, and a little about a lot.

I have often wondered why we have not had a group that does this together. I watch a lot of Man + River and it's fun to see the stuff he pulls out of rivers and such. I used to sit in the areas where the tubers would get dumped and found spots where other divers had put in anchors you could clip on to when the water is too turbulent. When you come out with a bag full of stuff and people are waiting for you, it gets interesting lol.

One of those anchors was probably mine, lol.

I can't post pics, as I am not a premium member, but most on here would probably think my photos are fake because of the amount of gold/silver I find in the rivers.

I go all over the country to swimming holes and dig out cracks and potholes for loot. My pics from a certain river in Colorado are awesome…if I do say so myself.

I have never done videos of my loot finding because I don't want to advertise my hot spots.

And yes, I have tracked down and returned many rings over the years if possible. Of course I also am a diver/finder for hire for lost items.

You will love Green Mountain Metal Detecting channel on YouTube. Brad hunts Vermont mountains at old homesites and finds colonial coins and objects regularly. Things I can only dream about down here…

My best find was a Rolex. My buddy and I knew that if it was lost that day the dude was going to be around and he was. For something so heavy it was crazy how the current took it right to the spot. I didn't think about hitting that area when the river was not running. But I bet a bunch of others did.

Wow!

Awesome…I found a fake Rolex once but never the real deal.

We had the falls to ourselves. No other divers that day. My buddy left his bag down there with watch in it. He came to us and asked if we would look for it and offered a reward. So we eventually came clean and took the money. It was one of those watches that I figured was fake because of all the jewels. But he said whoever finds it will have fun trying to sell it since it was already reported lost. It was a very expensive watch and in the 8-10 thousand range if I remember right. Long time ago. The stuff we would find the most are beer and sunglasses. But rings and necklaces were found each time too.
