$1700. College Station This is the 50th Anniversary S&W Model 29 in 44 Magnum. Yes, the same pistol used by Clint Eastwood in the Dirty Harry franchise. Unfired with all the paperwork in the plastic case and the wooded presentation case. This commemorative pistol came out in 2006. Joel.johnston1988 at gmail. You must be 21 and a Texas resident.

Nice piece. I collect S&W wheel guns but alas I'm not a Texas resident any longer.
Here is a good article written when they brought it out in 2006.
It's a long article but can scroll down about the anniversary edition.
Good luck on your sale.

Very, very noice! If I hadn't bought the colt python, anaconda, beretta, and all those glocks over the past several years I would sure jump on this. Should sell fast. GLWTS

Is that a 6 1/2 or 8 3/8" barrel?

Also, the article linked in one of the replies made it look like the anniversary editions had an old fashioned high gloss blued finish, I can't tell from the photo if yours does or not. Could be the lighting - ??

You have my interest. The model 29 had its 50th anniversary the same year that I did. Heaven knows I already have too many .44s, but pretty sure I could find room for one more.

It's the lighting. The pistol is very well polished blue. I have the pistol locked up in the safe, but the barrel is 6" or so

I was afraid you would say that. I'm going to sleep on it tonight and see if it's still available in the morning.

The ones I have seen that were Unfired, were all well over 2k. I bought this at the June Gunshow in Bryan. I found the box separately and it wasn't cheap either. I want a 44 that I don't fell guilty shooting. It's a good deal for a 20 year old pistol

I've just looked at in on my phone picture. Is there turn lines on the cylinder? I couldn't really tell.
TIA

I have a question too, what is that discoloration on the side of the barrel that I've circled? If the cylinder has a turn line I would also like to know but it wouldn't necessarily be a show stopper. Although I would treat it like an heirloom (which it would be), I would shoot it.

Any pics of the cylinder for firing rings?

Looking at the hammer and front/ rear of the cylinder it appears to be discolored. Sure it hasn't been fired?

There is nothing there. I added more pics. It's not an easy pistol to photograph.

I added pics and I see no trace of firing on the cylinder. The hammer is color case hardened

Is the cylinder tight? No too much play?

I'm not seeing any of that. And what would you look for on the hammer?

The nice thing about these guns is that when you run out of bullets, you can hide in the barrel.

I know what you're thinking. Did he fire five shots or six? Frankly I don't really know myself.

I had a chance to pick up a 29 about 10-12 years ago (not new or unfired, and not a commemorative) for about $400. I can't believe I passed that up.

Had a guy I took the CHL instructor exam with that only had a .44 mag and mag shells (ammo crunch; no specials). He failed the first time b/c he hadn't shot a mag, but passed the second time. We kidded him, maybe not so, lightly about it.

early 60s S&W 44 mag was my 1st revolver. friend of mine had gotten into quick draw. he practiced with it a lot. Wore the blue off. his comp. gun was reamed out 38. he got tired of quick draw and sold me the 44mag, belt and holster, and several boxes of ammo for $100. Years later he asked if he could buy it back. Gun, belt and holster, not the cartridge cases, for the same $100. That was one fun Pistol to shoot
