I saw the name brand on the slide and didn't even think about checking the airsoft type.

That brand makes lots of aftermarket knickknack type upgrades for firearms. A long time ago I tried one and realized how poor quality they were. Maybe they're different now.

We as a society need to do a better job of educating every single person that decides to posses a weapon that the second it is brandished in any threatening manner in public, you better be prepared to be shot at.

Nobody is going to assume a gun is fake or you're not about to use it. Especially in a ****ing convenience store when you're pulling it from your waistband. I would have done the same.
