The wise, beneficent and just overlords of the People's Republic of Free Colorado just posted a 152 page draft showing some of the scary, awful and downright mean semiautomatic guns that they plan to ban to everyone's safety.
I scrolled through real quick to find some highlights that demonstrate the knowledge and wisdom of those who know better than you do what kind of gun is safe to own.
Starting off with a gun that apparently identifies as semi automatic (you can do that in Colorado) and therefore needs to be banned, the bolt action q fix and minifix.

But the next gun is something that has desperately needed legislation for a long time now. Less than 250 semi automatic French Famas rifles were imported into the US. I don't have the exact numbers, but I'm sure more than 200 of them have been used to commit crimes. Plus, it's French.

This gun was designed specifically to be California legal. But since Colorado is full of people who used to be Californians, they wanted to one up their home state and make sure to ban this contraption. Fightlight SCR with no muzzle device, pistol grip, adjustable stock, or shoulder thing that goes up? Ban it!

Next up: The Mauser M1916. Of the 600-1000 that were produced in Germany over a century ago, the ones that made it over to the US are all heavily involved in gun violence in Denver. I think the gangs must loan them out to museums during the week so the rest of us can appreciate their historical providence, since that's the only place I've ever seen one. Thanks, Bloods!

On the other end of the historical firearm spectrum from the M1916, the newly developed Henry Homesteader rifles are clearly too dangerous to be allowed out in public. I said so when I saw them released.

The Browning BAR (not that one, the new one....although actually the old one is banned by name too), Benelli R1, and Sauer S303 are also banned. I get it. If I see one more home invasion with a Sauer S303 on the news I'm going to lose my mind.
Also, I don't know how the F they managed to screw this one up so badly but the Saiga Arms Tavor Bullpub is banned. No, that's not a typo on my part. Also, Saiga makes the Tavor now. Who knew.

I saved the best for last. I actually agree with the democrats who run Colorado on this one. These two should be banned. They are awful looking.

M1As, SKS, S&Ws new FPC, the Ruger 10/22, LC carbine, keltec PR57 pistol, and others also made the list.
Thank you wise rulers of Colorado for protecting us all from the scourge of these dangerous, dangerous weapons. I feel safer already.
