Just checked my "Informed Delivery". Today I have something being delivered to my mailbox that is for a gentleman with a Villa Maria address. I live over close to Momentum Plaza.

Seriously, Post Office folks?

Today the USPS delivered our mail and the mail of our neighbors on each side right into our mailbox. Probably because we had a small padded mailer package and the others did not, we got all three. That way the carrier can finish in 1/3 of the time if they only hit every third house.

Let's all tell our bosses that we only want to do 1/3 of our normal work and see how that goes.

Rusty, since we know you read this board, maybe you would like to reach out to USPS about their new super efficient delivery plan that saves time for their drivers and gets me much needed steps beyond my normal amount

I have to say, the route out east along Hwy 30 has come light years in the past several months. Whomever is running that part of the show has really fixed a lot of issues.

Package supposedly out for delivery this morning (Sunday)

left the house about 9:45 or 9:50 PM and saw a USPS truck headed towards me (passing a cross street I was turning onto, and they should've been headed towards my home)

got back; nothing had been delivered

pulled up Amazon's status and saw "delivery on hold"

tracked on USPS; saw multiple times earlier, 9:15 PM, 9:40 PM or something that said "delivery delay" or something like that

then at 9:52 PM (right around when I saw them), they marked it as front door supposedly inaccessible so they didn't deliver it

clearly bullish*t; door was accessible and porchlight was on because I had just gone to pick something up and needed the light on for when I got back

why bother to drive past, not drop it off, and mark it as undeliverable?

either deliver it or don't bother to come over here that late

meanwhile, Amazon's instructions said to contact USPS to explain how to get here or something (not hard to get to; nothing needed to be explained) and USPS's stuff says to contact Amazon

Hopefully they just got sick of delivering things and marked everything as inaccessible when they knocked off for the night and they'll bring it by tomorrow, but it's very annoying

I would absolutely understand them not delivering at almost 10 PM, but if that's the case, I don't see the point of bothering to drive around the area where it's supposed to be delivered. Either deliver it or go back to Bryan.

I had a college gal Saturday bring to me at my house that the Post Office said was delivered a month ago, She said it was sitting on her front porch...probably there for a month, She lives five blocks away, Fortunately the item was sealed in its plastic wrapping so nothing was damaged, Tried to get it replaced a month ago and gave up the process.

My mistake was not buying this one time through Amazon who replaces items or credits you back for issues like this almost without fail,

I still often get neighbors mail in my box,

The good news is you will be able to buy your package in the future at Crazy Top Deals.

Just wait until USPS drivers figure out they can sell Amazon packages at the back door of that place and then make you get Amazon to ship you another that was "lost".

Apparently they were not in the mood to deliver anyone's package last evening!

My driveway had room and no one was parked on the street in front of my house.

All lies!

Hey Rusty! We know you read this board!

If you could take a break from posting "OMG!!! Orange Man Bad!!!!" stuff on your Facebook page and do a story on USPS in Aggieland not providing a service, that would be helpful.

Mine was delivered today at 1:06 PM. It wasn't really a package; just a large padded envelope that they stuck in the mailbox.

Only difference between now and last night is it's daylight and last night it was generally dark outside, but our porch light was on so the front door wasn't "inaccesible" due to darkness or anything.

We live off HWY 30 - very rural…. mailman just FLEW down our street tonight at 7:35pm… we had just fed deer in front pasture. We have a handful of Mommas and 7 or so babies. As he SPED DOWN our street he screamed at the deer out his window. LOUD! They scattered in every direction. WTH?? We get mail about once a week at this point. Someone needs to FIX the post office. I'd complain but I know it would fall on deaf ears and we'd probably never get mail again.

You are right....don't even bother to complain. I've stoped after a number of attempts. No response, no interest, massive incompetence. The postal service has to be privatized.

Complaints go nowhere through the USPS system, but I've had great luck through congressman McCaul's office.

I contacted them after a major theft. Very nice and courteous----but, blah, blah, blah. No real help at all.
