Please pass on recommendations for the best place to buy fruit trees(peach, plum at the top) and Crepe Myrtle's trees in the area.

Thanks in advance for the help.

The Brazos Valley Tree Farm.

These people are super nice and very informative when you visit with them. They'll take care of you.

You can click their current inventory from the site.

I second this recommendation. We've bought a bunch of citrus trees from them. They've got all different varieties of trees, bushes, etc. that work in this climate. Super cool people too. Apparently they're building a putt-putt course and have recently built a stage to hold small concerts on premise.

Thanks

Their inventory does not have a couple of the peach trees I'm looking for at this time. But I will check back in the late fall during planting time to see what they have in stock.

I order ours from Womack's in DeLeon. Bareroot trees seem to get established better than pot grown trees.

I would let them know what you're looking for and they could probably special order it for you. Just a thought.

On a recent trip the gps optimized us off the well traveled path. But it took us past permavista tree farm outside brenham. My wife being the horticulture grad had to look them up and found they had several verities that she had not found elsewhere. Might be an option.
Circle d in bryan sold to public one day a week also
Wife has also used site one for bulk of specific plants.

If you REALLY want to go crazy re fruit trees, drive down to Arbor Gate in Tomball. One of the most amazing nurseries I've been to, and they probably have about 35 varieties of citrus alone, many I'd never heard of. Tons of other fruit trees to. Can stop at Fire Ant Brewing and make a nice day of it,

If you buy Crape Myrtles, please don't commit Crape Murder by cutting off their tops.

I never do. Just keep the trunk bases clean looking.

Back when I lived in H-town, I had to train my yard crews on not touching them.

The key is to buy the varieties that have a mature height that you want, CM go from hanging basket size to 30 to 40 feet tall,

Some counties such as Harris, Montgomery, Brazoria, Ft Bend are quarantined due to citrus greening. You are violating state law if you buy citrus in those counties and take it out of the county.

Thus ArborGate is quarantined for citrus. Their citrus trees have quarantine tags. You can safely buy anything else from them, I have several times.

Greening is a terrible disease. You don't want to spread it.

These guys are great, although as the owner of the business, my opinion is slightly biased :-)

We have just about every kind of fruit tree you can think of (and likely several that you haven't even heard of).

Thanks, and let me know if I can help in any way on fruit tree recommendations.

Not sure if it helps, but we can sell and ship citrus anywhere in the state. No restrictions. Inventory is a bit low during the middle of the summer, but we'll have a full inventory back in stock in September.

Wonderful, thank you very much. Let me know what I can do to help, and if you come into the store to purchase, feel free to ask for me (Ed) so I can say thank you in person.

Yes, I like looking at what I get in person. Mineola, correct?

Here's the plan. Santa Rosa and Methley plum trees.

Need zone 9b peach trees. Looking at your website it appears the following are options: TexKing, TexStar, Rio Grande and Gulf King.
TreeFarmer

Plenty of Santa Rosa and Methley ready in either 5 or 15 gallon.

Yes, any of those peaches would be a good choice along with La Feliciana and the Pride peaches (mid pride, may pride, august pride, etc.)

The A&M variety of peaches would be another good choice for medium chill peaches. Royal Zest, Fire Zest, White Delight, Flat Delight, etc.
