Anybody know a place where 300-400 could have a meeting? Parking should be easy and free so not on campus. College station preferred to Bryan. Thanks!

Go talk to the Legends event center. They are totally set up for that and can do what you need. Plenty of parking and they can even have food catered for you.
The acoustics for a meeting speaker are horrible in Legends. If your event doesn't have a significant presentation aspect it would be in the mix imho. It's sounds like a gymnasium… can't imagine why.

I agree in that main area it would be loud. I was thinking about their meeting room. They have a whole back conference are that is carpeted and has media equipment on the far right when you walk into the place.

The Hilton ballrooms will hold 1,500 for the larger one and 500 for the smaller one,
I also bet there are a number of the large churches that might rent out their fellowship hall for any day but Wed and Sunday,

How do you need the meeting room arranged? Theatre style, classroom, Rounds of 8 or 10? Once that is determined, you can look at the different facilities that can meet your requirements. Also, will food be required? Depending on the venue, you may have to use the facilities caterer. I know the Brazos County Expo and Legends Event Center will allow you to bring in your own caterer within some guidelines. Do you need audio/video support? What does each of the venues provide or do you have to hire a vendor for this service? I don't know what your budget is for your event but there are many elements that need to be considered when selecting a venue for your event. Good luck!

Or after it is seldom used, we could call it Macy's, the Sequel.
Pretty sure you could get about that many at the equestrian center. Parking should be ok if after 5:00 pm or on a weekend.
