First of all you all have steered me right with each query I've made, so here is another.
I have had rats take residence underneath my deck and storage shed (we live in South CS). They drive my dogs absolutely insane when we let them out. I've tried traditional traps, electrical shocker traps, "assault" traps, and sitcky traps underneath the deck and only have caught a couple (one was about 8-10 inches in length not including the tail). I'm afraid to use poison for fear that my dogs may get ahold of a dead one and get 2nd hand poisoning. With football season approaching I am wanting to be rid of these nasty things before entertaining out there. Who would you all recommend to get rid of them?

Many thanks!

ABC helped me with a rat issue. They are not the most popular co here for sure, but figure I'd put it out there.

ABC put the bait stations in my yard last year. Pets can't get to the bait. There has been no activity in the past 9 months. Will have ABC remove them soon. They eat the bait and then go somewhere else to die.

Rodent poison is a significant secondary killer. Animals that consume the dying or dead rodents are poisoned and die, too. The cycle persists.
Kill traps are much better alternative. Also, there are baits that are not poison. They destroy the rodents digestive system. Available on Amazon and at other retailers.
Easy online search to find alternatives safe for pets and wildlife.

Rats are a major problem all around college station. Wish the HOAs would pay for consistent trapping.

If you or a neighbor has dog food outside, you won't be able to get rid of them.

The large black tomcat brand snap traps with the teeth, are the best thing I've found.

You'd think a person with a name like Cooter would figure out a redneck engineering solution like that.... Username does not check out.

We use Arrow S for pest control. I had some rodents try and take up residence under my beer fridge out near the pool, and they dispatched them with some bait.

I mean, it seems like a pretty obvious solution to me but I spent the first years of my life outside Cut N Shoot.
